Many people see Degradation as being the same thing as humiliation (the male sexual form), but I like to think of it as being its own sub-fetish within the same fundamental category. Degradation seeks to attack someone's reputation, position, name, etc. What is dealt with here aren't simply insults, but specific damage to a person's identity and perceived status… not necessarily public in form but quite possible (and considering my love of exhibitionism, truly is quite possible ~laughs~).
